Dixon Springs is located on the eastern side of southern Illinois along route 145. There are no lodging options in the immediate area besides primitive camping. Willowbrook Cabins has provided lodging for many vistors with an interest in the Dixon Springs area and is only 9 miles away the way a crow flys or 15 miles driving.
Dixon Springs State Park is an 800 acre park with modern swimming facilities and a water slide. There are also many great hiking trails and picnic shelters. Be sure to check out the Ghost Dance Canyon Trail!
The Dixon Springs Agricultural Center is also resident to the Dixon Springs area. It is the largest experiment station of its kind east of the Mississippi River! In 2010 the Sustainable Living Expowas hosted at the Dixon Springs Ag center campus.
Down the road is the Dixon Springs Boot Camp.
